“I came to Amy with a recent adrenal fatigue diagnosis and what felt like an ocean of stressors from an unwell parent, hectic work schedule and poor time management.
I had been attending psychology appointments for some time, but where I felt most lacking in my health support was within my body.
Amy's approach to embodiment allowed me to unfold and unravel all the tension I had been holding onto. Her techniques are extremely accessible, incredibly easy to fit into a busy schedule and helped me in action oriented ways. Her personality is kind, gentle and supportive whilst also being able to ask the questions you need to be asked, and steer you in the direction that will show you the truest most beautiful (and sometimes not the prettiest!) answers.
Across the 12 months I saw Amy, she aided me to find moments of quiet in my day, allowed me the permission I was seeking to say 'No' and truly helped me move through the depths of debilitating fatigue. I can't thank Amy enough for her skills, energy, time and softness with me”
“I began coaching sessions with Amy, just over a year ago. Throughout lockdown, I had felt disconnected from others, my work and passions. I alternated between periods of over work and then disinterest. This impacted my sleep and mood. I experienced social anxiety and negative thoughts, around connecting with others. Dating felt like something impossible for me, even though I really wanted to meet someone and enjoy a relationship.
Amy offers a really safe, kind and none judgemental space in coaching sessions. She helped me deepen my self awareness and supported me in challenging some negative beliefs about myself. She encourages you to connect to your body - noticing how things feel. This was a game changer! She has led me through some really useful and practical embodiment exercises to help me develop different aspects of myself - from getting more ‘fired up’ to help with certain work situations, to calming myself before stress inducing events (usually work or dating related) and in slowing down and being more playful in social situations.
Looking back over the past year, I have grown so much. Amy helped me reconnect to my values and use these as a guide for moving towards what I want out of life. She listened and asked thoughtful questions. She offered accountability when I needed it.
I feel I have more balance with my work and am performing well, with less burnout. I developed the confidence to begin dating and am really enjoying a new romantic relationship. Most importantly, I feel like I have developed so much awareness of myself and have some tools that I can use to help me in so many areas of life.”
“I am really pleased with the progress Amy supported me in making. I have much less tension in my body now and consequently sleep has improved a lot. Such a relief!
My capacity for work has increased and I'm handling it better. I feel like I have gathered some helpful tools. Thank you very much”
"I had a session with Amy and it was so helpful. She really showed me how to listen to my body in a new way by simply being with it. It was not obvious to me that I was trying to relax rather than just being with and listening to what my body is telling me.
My shoulders and neck were really hurting and tight. Just saying hello to it and moving slowly and gently helped me. I highly recommend working with Amy. She helped me help myself"
“I had 3 coaching sessions with Amy after being invited to interview for my dream job. I was initially slightly sceptical but after the first 20 mins, I could see how much this process could really help. Amy showed me simple techniques to help me manage my nerves and stay calm. She coached me on how to confidently take pauses for thinking time.
We went through the job specification and decided upon 5 questions the interviewers were likely to ask. We worked on the details of my answers and built prompt cards. We then went through each question multiple times with Amy role playing the interviewer.
Sometimes she changed the wording of the question and offered prompts for more information, so that my answers became natural and didn’t sound rehearsed.
After the third session, I could provide full answers and felt confident offering extra information without a prompt.
As part of all of this, we worked on how to sit comfortably with a posture that felt open and approachable.
During my interview, I used every technique we worked on together. I felt more confident, in control and the prompt cards covered 4 of the 5 questions I was asked.
Prior to interview coaching with Amy, I had 18 unsuccessful job interviews - so it is the greatest testament to Amy that I got the job! Thank you!”
“For the first 5 years of ME/CFS, I didn't allow myself to feel my feelings. I was numb. Then I became overwhelmed because I thought so much about them, judging, analysing, trying to deal with them or fix them. Now, decades later thanks to embodiment work with Amy, I can feel my feelings, acknowledge them and let them pass through.”
“I feel like I have just had a massage.”
"I have been taking mindfulness classes with Amy for a couple of years now and would thoroughly recommend them. Amy is a great teacher, explaining what the purpose of each session is and creating a safe and welcoming environment to carry out my practice"
“I really enjoyed the soothing quality of the class. Amy is a wonderful instructor whose energy reaches you through the computer.”
“I have been taking Amy’s classes for around a year, and I have noticed a massive shift in my body and my awareness of what my body needs. I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 15 years in various joints in my body and have often taken yoga classes over the years, but they were never good at helping my condition.
With Amy I finally feel like I can be at ease and know that Amy understands what I need rather than trying to force postures that just don’t work for me. Amy doesn’t just make adjustments she helps you really be in tune with your body and you will uncover even the smallest movements have a huge impact. I highly recommend Amy’s classes, you won’t regret starting this journey!”
“I've always been somewhat of a sceptic when it comes to yoga and relaxation exercises because I've never really found them to work for me. I have taken Amy's Mindful Movement & Relaxation class once a week for a few months now and can wholeheartedly say that no matter what sort of day I have had or what sort of week I have had, the class always relaxes me. I sleep better and my mood has generally improved. Amy's teaching style allows you to acknowledge your body and mind without ever judging them and let's you sink slowly into a very relaxed state. I look forward to the class each week and cannot wait for the next one.”
“I loved the course, it was a great size group and I felt everyone was supportive and sensitive to each other, due to the environment Amy created and the sense of calm in the studio. I really enjoyed discussing and learning the different aspects of meditation and mindfulness. It has given me an excellent grounding to move forward and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone. It was my oasis of calm in a mad week. After every class my mind felt fresh and open and eager to discuss all the topics from class. I don't think I could rave more about a tutor, studio or course. My only complaint is it was only 8 weeks and I could do it forever. Thanks so much Amy!”
“It was a great course, even after the first session I felt I had learned so much. Amy is a great teacher!”
“The workshop was so enlightening. I've been thinking about aspects of it all day today. I've used a couple of the techniques, both of which have been really successful in slowing me down and reflecting on what is really going on. Thank you so much.”
